C O R N W A L L || Sister Time

for all the travelling I have done backwards and forwards to Cali, I have spent very little time exploring the awesomes delights of the UK, especially when my sister lives in GLORIOUS Cornwall

This last week I remedied that and took a well deserved trip down to chill out and have a fab n fun time with the wee one

There was plenty of eating delicious food, lots of sightseeing and some gloomy days which provided the perfect excuse to curl up and watch a film or too and just have some good ol quality sis time

First on the agenda was a shopping trip to Truro.  I would lose my head if it wasn't screwed on, forgot two major essentials; contact lenses and vaping battery charger.  Specsavers saved the day with a pack of my dailies and then found a wee vape shop that was able to supply me with a wee travel charger pack and then couldn't resist stocking up on some Traditional Juice ~ Lola.  After some retail therapy we head over to Mannings Truro and damn what a super lovely place.

One of my FAVE places down here is Porthleven and next on my hit list was a good but naughty cream tea so obviously we headed to the aptly named; Nauti But Ice.  Had the compulsory Cornish Pasty too then followed it up with a tasty TASTY scone n all the trimmings

The day started off a bit cloudy n grey but then the sun made an appearance and it was just GOOOORGEOUS.  We had such a great afternoon mooching about all the craft stalls and shops

Another shopping trip and another glorious day.  Our 1st port of call was Gylls Beach before hiking about Falmouth.  Gylls Beach Cafe is just one of my fave places.  I mean come on look at where it is and the grub they serve is just LUSH.

Kinda felt like I was back in Cali, enjoying the surfy beach vibe of Huntington Beach.

After all the shopping was done we headed up the steep hill to The Boathouse to quench our thirsts and look over and across the fabulous bay.  They have a cracking line up of Ales n Ciders here.  I remember the last time I was down they had an awesome cider with ginger.  Settled on the new Pimms Cider Cup seen as it was so warm n sunny Summer day

Maybe not the ideal time to be heading to St Ives but it's a must right.  Been wanting to check out Hub since my last visit and I just LOVED the place.  Great decor and vibe, awesome view and DAMN the food was just might fine

So after a jam packed few days the weather turned but like I said it was bliss to have an excuse to curl up n take some time out.  Movies, catch up TV (canna remember how many series we started and finished) and crafting, BLISS

Before it was time to head home had a bit of a drive about seeing some more of the awesome and breathtaking coastal sights and yep you guessed it some more lickety lips FOOD.  This time it was of the ice cream fancy from Roskilly's Farm

All good things have to come to an end and it was with a VERY heavy n teary heart I had to say goodbye.  Miss the wee one so so much but it's times like this being spent together that I realise how lucky I am to have a best friend and sister all in one, and she lives in a preedy damn awesome part of the UK.

Next trip on the agenda is already booked and count down begins... Looking forward to visiting the Philippines in less than two weeks, YAY

This week was all about meeting up with friends and trying some new places out along the way

First off, after a super yummy BBQ and dishing up some rather tasty n filling Filipino food we head to Sierra Madre... Such a pretty wee town and lots of charming stores and plenty of lovely places to eat and just hang out n chill... Love these kinda towns, similar to the good ol English life of back home

"Mothers Moo Creamery" was where we were heading, ice-cream was out sweet treat again and it didn't disappoint, mind I was in need a bit of warming up due to the drizzly grim weather that had snook over to Cali for the day.  I had a made from scratch Hot Choc with all the trimmings n it surely hit the spot, frothy moustache n nose to boot.  This place was the cutest with a great retro vibe.  They even do canning classes and workshops.

Hanging with these guys again in a weeks time as we all have a few birthdays to be celebrating, so more scrummy food n good times ahead

Next stop and a new find was "The Anaheim Packing District".  I was meeting up with my fellow Brit Pal and his lovely Wife n new baba... This area is fairly new and up coming and a defo firm fave place with me already.  It's actually not far from where I live and so I canna believe I hadn't been there sooner.  The selection of eateries and bars was awesome and the place was buzzing... Being a Brit Chick and not having found many decent Indian cuisine round these parts there was a place here "Adya" that looked and smelled the business so it had to be done and I gave it a whirl... Chicken Tikka Masala with naan n rice and hell yeah it rocked...

After plenty of great chit chat and snuggles n cuddles with the wee chappy Owen we headed down stairs to "Crêpe Coop" for the most tastiest of crêpes  EVER... So I picked the Red Velvet batter, with a slather of Trader Joes "Speculoos Cookie Butter" a handful of sliced bananas, a dollop of vanilla bean ice-cream and a drizzle of honey n a wee squirt of cream...  Oh I devoured the whole damn lot and with not a smidge of guilt, teehee

Also did a wee bit of shopping for the apartment and got some super lush bedding from good ol Ikea and YES I sure did pick me up the compulsory bag of meat balls and gravy n jam... And how about this ickle delight just to brighten the place up too... My obsession with all things cute, adorable and above all a wee PIGGY

Anyhows thats me for another weeks round up... Catch you all again next time and remember you can find me on Twitter n IG for daily updates (links above)
